South Carolina falls to Furman at Fluor Field

After trailing by three runs, South Carolina stormed back to take a one-run lead in the top of the seventh inning but Furman answered with a homer in the bottom half of the seventh and an unearned run in the bottom of the eighth to defeat the Gamecocks 6-5 on Wednesday evening in non-conference action at Fluor Field. The loss drops South Carolina to 23-7 on the season.  The Gamecocks return to conference action this weekend with a three-game series at Tennessee. First pitch for the opener on Friday is set for 6pm.
