South Pointe knocks Seneca out of Playoffs again

For the second year in a row, the South Pointe Stallions knocked the Seneca Bobcats out of the Class AAA State Football Playoffs. It was a back and fourth game Friday night at Coach Tom Bass Field at Bobcat Stadium. The Bobcats scored on a 75-yard run by senior running back Braxton Gambrell, a 35-yard field goal by sophomore kicker Hunter Pearson and a 1-yard run by junior running back Jacory Benson. Unfortunately, that was not enough as South Pointe escaped with a 24-17 victory. The Bobcats finish the magical season with a 12-1 record and the Western AAA Region Title, which is the school’s first region title since 1996.
