SPD K-9 Rogue’s Last Bite

Seneca Police K-9 Rogue, a 10-year-old dog known for her eagerness to face challenges, is retiring after a distinguished career in drug searches and suspect tracking. Four years ago, during her first demonstration, K-9 Rogue took down City Administrator Scott Moulder, who wore the “bite suit”. Mayor Pro-Tem Ronnie O’Kelley and Seneca High Basketball Coach Kevin Padgett have also been “suspects” tackled by K-9 Rogue during her demos.

In her final act, Chief Casey Bowling told us she demonstrated her skills with Jerry Edwards, publisher of The Journal, during a golf tournament at Cross Creek Plantation…

This event was a tribute to Rogue’s significant contributions to the community and law enforcement. Praised by Police Chief Casey Bowling, Rogue’s impact in removing drugs and apprehending suspects was highlighted.

She will retire as a beloved family pet with Cpl. Joe Sorenson. The golf tournament, which drew 220 attendees and raised about $16,000 for the K-9 unit, underscored the community’s appreciation for the K-9 program and Rogue’s service.
