…INCREASED FIRE DANGER IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM EST THIS MORNING THROUGH 8 PM EST THIS EVENING… Very dry air will continue across the region today, with relative humidity percentages falling well into the teens, if not the single digits, this afternoon. Meanwhile, brush and other surface fuels continue to dry out. Although winds will be less gusty than yesterday, the combination of very dry air and fuels will increase fire danger across the western Carolinas again today. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn today. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
