Sports Update For April 5th, 2019; Seneca Softball Defeats Previously Unbeaten Palmetto Thursday Night

(Seneca, SC)—————–The Seneca softball team picked up a huge win last night over previously undefeated Palmetto by a score of 2-0. Mackenzie Martin pitched five innings last night for the Lady Cats. The Lady Cats did not commit an error in the field. 

The Seneca baseball team lost last night to Crescent at home by a score of 10-1. Walker Lathrop and Dakota Peters had the only base hits for the Bobcats last night. 

The Walhalla baseball team lost at home to Wren last night by a score of 10-3. Patrick Campbell had two RBI’s for the Razorbacks. According to Walhalla Head Coach Jerry Lee, Walhalla needs B-HP to beat Wren twice next week in order for Walhalla to finish second in the region. If Wren wins one out of two, then the Razorbacks will finish third in the conference. 

The 2019 Seneca High School Golf Tournament is coming up on Friday, May 3rd at Cross Creek Plantation in Seneca. Lunch and Registration will begin at 11:30am with a shotgun start at 1pm. The registration deadline is April 19th. Fore more information, contact Seneca High School. 

The Clemson baseball team will open up a weekend baseball series at Doug Kingsmore Stadium against Louisville tonight with a scheduled 6pm first pitch. 

The South Carolina baseball team will begin a weekend series this afternoon on the road at Alabama with a 2:30pm eastern time first pitch.
