Sports Update For Friday, November 15th, 2019; Four Seneca High Student Athletes Sign Letters Of Intent

(Seneca, SC)————Four Seneca High School student athlete’s signed Letters of Intent yesterday to continue their academic and athletic careers on the collegiate level. 

Seneca Baseball playeres Trent Land, Walker Lathrop and Jacob Pierce signed LOI’s to play baseball at Erskine College, USC-Upstate and Truett-McConnell University respectively while volleyball player Cara Martin signed to play volleyball at Southern Wesleyan University. 

The South Carolina men’s basketball team will look to go 3-0 on the season as they will host Cleveland State tonight at the Colonial Life Arena at 7pm. Also tonight, the Furman basketball team will host Southern Wesleyan at Timmons Arena with a 7pm tip-off. 

The American Football Coaches Association announced yesterday that Clemson is one of six programs in the country to earn the 2019 AFCA Academic Achievement Award. Clemson has now won back-to-back awards. 

The Clemson women’s basketball team announced the signing of three players yesterday. All three players, according to a press release, are ranked in the top 50 players at their position while one player, Gabby Elliott from Detroit, MI, is ranked as a five-star player by ESPN.
