Sports Update For Monday, December 16th, 2019; South Carolina Defeats Clemson In Basketball For First Time in Four Years

(Seneca, SC)————–The South Carolina Gamecocks picked up their first win over Clemson in college basketball in four years as Carolina defeated Clemson yesterday at Littlejohn Coliseum 67-54. 

A.J. Lawson led Carolina in scoring with 20 points while Aamir Simms led Clemson in scoring with 21 points. 

The #5 ranked South Carolina women’s basketball team defeated Purdue at home yesterday by a score of 85-49 to improve to 10-1 on the season. 

The Clemson women’s basketball team improved to 4-7 on the season with a 65-61 win yesterday at Littlejohn Coliseum over Mercer. 

Back on Saturday evening, the Furman men’s basketball team improved to 10-3 on the season with a 80-73 win at the Well in downtown Greenville over Winthrop. 

The Seneca men’s and women’s basketball team will be back in action tonight against Pickens at Bobcat Gym. Tipoff time for the women’s game will be 6pm while the men’s game will tipoff at 7:30pm. The first JV game tonight between the Bobcats and the Blue Flame will tipoff at 5:15pm.
