Sports Update For Monday, June 10th, 2019; Six Clemson Baseball Players Named To All-ACC Teams
(Seneca, SC)————-The South Carolina Volleyball team has recently released their schedule for next season. The Gamecocks will kick-off their season in Pittsburgh with a game against the Panthers on August 30th with two more games the next day.
The Gamecocks will then travel to Orlando for three games on September 6th thru September 8th before returning to Columbia for their home opener against Charlotte on September 10th.
South Carolina will travel to Jervey Gym for a game against Clemson on September 12th at 7pm. The Gamecocks will begin conference play in the SEC with a weekend series at home against Georgia and Auburn on September 27th and September 29th, respectively.
Six Clemson baseball players recently earned All-ACC honors as announced by the conference. Outfielder Grayson Byrd was named first team All-ACC while shortstop Logan Davidson and starting pitcher Davis Sharpe were named second team All-ACC. Starting pitcher Mat Clark, relief pitcher Carson Spiers and catcher Kyle Wilkie were named third team All-ACC.
Also, Collegiate Baseball named Byrd as third-team All American recently as well, while Davidson was named a first team Academic All-American for 2019 by Google Cloud as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
