Sports Update For Thursday, December 19th, 2019; Clemson Signs Consensus Number One Recruiting Class After Beginning Of Early Signing Period

(Seneca, SC)—–The early signing period in college football occurred yesterday and as of right now, the Clemson Tigers have hauled in the number one recruiting class in the country with 24 signees. The class includes eight high school players that are ranked as a five star player by a least one of the major recruiting services, including two players, Bryan Bresee and Myles Murphy, who are consensus top five players. 

Meanwhile, the South Carolina Gamecocks singed 17 players in the early signing period, which includes highly regarding running back Marshawn Lloyd and Myrtle Beach quarterback Luke Doty. The Gamecocks also received a commitment from the number one player in the state, five star defensive end Jordan Burch from Hammond High School in Columbia. 

The Furman Paladins added 13 high school players to their roster, which includes one player from the state of South Carolina, Gaffney High School safety Caden Richards.
