Sports Update for Thursday, November 14th, 2019; South Carolina prepares for final SEC game of the year this weekend against Texas A&M

(Seneca, SC)—————-The South Carolina Gamecocks will play their final SEC game of the season Saturday night on the road against Texas A&M. The game will kickoff at 7:30pm eastern time and our coverage will begin at 6:30pm Saturday right here on 94.1 The Lake from the Gamecock Radio Network.

South Carolina needs a win in this game and in the season finale against Clemson to become bowl eligible. South Carolina coach Will Muschamp says, however, that bowl eligibility is not a point of emphasis this week with his football team.

“No, I haven’t addressed that. I address each week as a season and it’s Texas A&M and it’s focusing on our football team and Texas A&M and that’s it. So, that’s what we need to be focused in on,” according to Coach Muschamp.

Other games in the SEC this weekend include #5 Alabama at Mississippi State, Missouri at #11 Florida, fourth ranked Georgia taking on #12 Auburn, Kentucky at Vanderbilt and #1 LSU at Ole Miss.

The number one ranked Clemson men’s soccer team has advanced to the finals of the ACC Soccer Tournament after defeated Pitt last night 1-0. Clemson will play for the ACC Championship Sunday in Cary, NC against Virginia.

The South Carolina men’s soccer team lost last night 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Soccer Tournament.

The sixth ranked South Carolina women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 last night with a 75-48 win over Dayton.

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been named one of 16 finalists for the 2019 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award.

The Clemson basketball team signed two players for the 2020 class, including Dorman forward P.J. Hall, ranked as the number one basketball player in the state of South Carolina.

Both signees for Coach Brad Brownell has been rated as 4-star recruits.
