Sports Update For Thursday, November 21st, 2019; Daniel To Host Ridge View With Winner Headed To AAAA Upper State Championship Game

(Seneca, SC)—The Daniel Lions will seek to punch their ticket to the Upper State AAAA Championship game tonight as they host Ridge View at 7pm at Singleton Field.

The game was moved to tonight due to weather concerns. The winner of tonight’s game will face the winner of the Wren at Greenville game next Friday night. 

Clemson Offensive Guard John Simpson has been named as one of six finalists for the Outland Trophy, which is presented to the top interior offensive or defensive lineman. 

Meanwhile, Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons has been named one of five finalists for the Bronko Nagurski trophy, which is given annually to the top defensive player in college football. 

Also, Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney has been named as one of 22 finalists for the George Munger Collegiate Coach of the Year Award. 

The Clemson women’s basketball team will travel to Penn State tonight for a game with a tip-off at 7pm. The Clemson men’s basketball team will also be in action tonight at Littlejohn Coliseum against Alabama A&M with a tip-off scheduled just after 7pm. 

The fifth ranked South Carolina women’s basketball team will host USC Upstate tonight at Colonial Life Arena tonight at 7pm.
