Sports Update For Thursday, September 19th, 2019; important Games on the Schedule For Week Four of the high School Football season

(Seneca, SC)——-Week Four of the high school football season kicks off tomorrow night with several important games.

The West-Oak Warriors will head into their game tomorrow night against undefeated St. Joseph’s with their first win since the end of October 2015, thanks to last week’s 35-0 win at Dixie.

“The biggest thing is that we’ve got kids that are playing right now that have never won a football game and for them to experience that was good,” said Coach Carson. “Everybody loves to win but these kids have participated in sports, some of them for four years, and still had not had a win. It showed them that some hard work has payed off so that is biggest thing I think we can take out of it.”

After a week off, the undefeated Walhalla Razorbacks will look to go 4-0 as they hit the road to play Powdersville.

Even though Powdersville is winless, they have played some quality competition so far this season and Walhalla Coach Padgett Johnson expects a tough test for his team tomorrow night.

“They have played some good teams. Their first three games of the year, they’ve played B-HP, Wren and Clinton,” according to Coach Padgett. “If you go back and watch the film. which we have, other than the Wren game, they have been very competitive.”

“They have a lot of good players. They are still young and they have a younger group. They are going to be a really good football team,” according to Coach Padgett.

The undefeated Daniel Lions will play their first game in two weeks as they will host Ridge View tomorrow night at Singleton Field.

The Lions game with Westside last Friday was cancelled due to weather. Even with the cancellation, Daniel Coach Jeff Fruster says it is business as usual for the Lions.

“It is definetly business as usual. It was a very unfortunate set of events with the weather and the storm coming the way it did,” according to Coach Fruster. “We are definitely staying focused on the task at hand and preparing for the next time out.”
