Sports Update For Tuesday, July 16th, 2019; Three Former Clemson Golfers To Compete This Weekend At The Open Championship

(Seneca, SC)———Clemson University has announced that Eric Sabin has been named the Associate Athletic Director of Facilities Management and Capital Projects.

Sabin most recently served as the Senior Associate AD for Finance at the University of Memphis.

Clemson has completed more than $170 million dollars in facility upgrades in the past five years, and presently has a softball stadium and a new IPTAY and ticket center scheduled to be completed this fall.

Clemson also announced that three former Clemson golfers will be playing this weekend in Ireland in the 148th Open Championship, which is golf’s final major of the year.

Former Tiger All-Americans Lucas Glover, Kyle Stanley and Doc Redman will begin play Thursday at Royal Portrush Golf Club.

Stanley will tee off at 3:36am eastern time while Glover tees off at 4:14am.  Redman, playing in his first major since turning professional, will tee off at 10:32am eastern time.
