Sports Update for Tuesday, November 5th, 2019; tickets on sale for seneca – chesnee playoff football game

(Seneca, SC)—-Tickets are on sale for Seneca’s home playoff game Friday night against Chesnee. Tickets are $8. Also, according to Seneca Athletic Director Andy Bay, no passes are allowed this week per playoff game rules set by the South Carolina High School League.

Kickoff time is set for 7:30pm from Bobcat Stadium at Tom Bass Field.

The ACC has announced that the kick-off time for the game next Saturday in Death Valley between #4 Clemson and 22nd ranked Wake Forest will kickoff at 3:30pm and will be broadcast on either ABC or ESPN.

Last week, the SEC announced that next week’s South Carolina at Texas A&M game will kickoff at 7:30pm eastern time and will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

The Furman football team is ranked 9th and 10th this week in the two respective FCS polls that are out. Wofford is ranked 23rd and 24th after their loss last week to Clemson. North Dakota State is ranked number one in both polls.

The Clemson men’s basketball team will be kicking off their season tonight at Littlejohn Coliseum with an ACC matchup against Virginia Tech.

Tip-off time is set for 7pm and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Other games in the ACC tonight will pit Louisville at Miami, Kansas vs. Duke in New York and Georgia Tech at N.C. State.

The 8th ranked South Carolina women’s basketball team will open their season tonight at Colonial Life Arena against Alabama State. Tip-off is set for 7pm.

The Furman men’s basketball team will begin their season tonight on the road at Gardner-Webb with a 7pm tip-off.

Finally, South Carolina sophomore guard A.J. Lawson has been named to the pre-season first team All-SEC.
