Sports Update For Wednesday, August 21st, 2019; High School Football To Begin This Friday With Week Zero Games

(Seneca, SC)—-The high school football season begins this Friday with games scheduled during what is known as Week Zero.

Some of our area teams that are playing Friday night include Walhalla, who will travel on the road to play Wildwood, FL.

Other games involving our area teams include McCormick at Crescent, Pickens at Easley and Daniel at Liberty.

Our coverage of Seneca Bobcat Football begins next Friday night when the Bobcats host Chapman at Tom Bass Field.

College football gets started this weekend as well, highlighted by an ACC/SEC matchup as Miami takes on #8 Florida in Orlando Saturday evening.

The South Carolina men’s soccer team will play host to Wofford tonight in an exhibition match at 5pm at Stone Stadium in Columbia.  The game, which is free and open to the public, kicks-off at 5pm.
