Sports Update For Wednesday, December 11th, 2019; Seneca Wrestling Continues Season Tonight With Dual Meet At Bobcat Gym

(Seneca, SC)—-The Seneca Wrestling team will host Palmetto tonight in a dual meet at Bobcat Gym. The meet will begin at 6pm. 

Last week, the Seneca Wrestling team defeated Rosman, NC in a meet 48 to 25 while losing to Westside 54 to 21.

Tonight’s meet will be the Seneca Wrestling teams third dual meet of the season. Tomorrow night, the Seneca Wrestling team will travel to Easley to take on the Green Wave and B-HP in a dual meet at 6pm. 

The University of South Carolina has announced that Mike Bobo has been hired as the new Offensive Coordinator for the Gamecock football team. 

Bobo has signed a two year contract. He will also be the quarterbacks coach at Carolina. 

Bobo is the former head coach at Colorado State and played quarterback at Georgia from from 1994-1997. Bobo is also the former offensive coordinator at Georgia as well. 

The SEC announced yesterday that South Carolina Defensive Tackle Javon Kinlaw has been named first-team All-SEC as selected by the head coaches in the conference. Carolina wide received Bryan Edwards received a second team All-SEC selection yesterday, also by the league’s head coaches. 

The Furman basketball team will be in action tonight at Timmons Arena as they take on North Greenville with 7pm tipoff
