Sports Update For Wednesday, July 10th, 2019; No Changes To Alcohol Sales Policy At Williams-Brice Stadium For 2019 South Carolina Home Games

(Seneca, SC)—The Clemson basketball team, representing Team USA in the 2019 World University Games, will be playing for the gold medal in the men’s after a 75-73 win over Israel in the semifinals played Tuesday.

Aamir Simms led Team USA in scoring with 27 points and 16 rebounds.

The U.S. Team was down by as many as 17 points in the first quarter.

The U.S. Team will play the Ukraine tomorrow at 2pm eastern time for the gold medal.

The University of South Carolina has announced that there will be no changes to the alcohol sales policies at Williams-Brice Stadium for the 2019 football season.

As in previous years, according to a press release from the Athletic Department, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be conducted only in premium seating areas.

The Southeastern Conference rescinded its ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages in public areas at home athletic events at its annual meetings in late May.

South Carolina went on to say that any updates to the current stance on alcohol sales will be made prior to the start of each sport’s season.
