Sports Update For Wednesday, March 20th, 2019; Seneca And Walhalla Pick Up Wins In Conference Baseball Action

(Seneca, SC)——————————Seneca picked up a win in baseball last night by a score of 11-1 win over West-Oak in a Western AAA match-up. Matthew Burgess had 2 hits and four RBI’s for Seneca. Ryan Moore pitched five innings for Seneca to pick up the win with nine strikeouts. Brock for West-Oak had two hits for the Warriors. 

Walhalla also picked up a win in baseball action last night with a 9-3 score over Pickens in Region 1-AAAA action. Bubbie Bondadies had two hits and two RBI’s for the Razorbacks. Alec Woodard pitched four innings for the win. 

The Seneca Lady Cats soccer team picked up a conference win by a score of 3-2 in overtime last night over Pendleton. Madison Towe scored two goals, including the game winner. Anne Hamilton-Leroy scored the other Seneca goal while Amma Merck had 17 saves in goal for the Lady Cats. 

Daniel defeated Walhalla in softball action last night in Region 1-AAAA match-up by a score of 5-0. Baylee Wilson had three hits for the Razorbacks. 

The Clemson basketball team picked up a win in the first round of the NIT last night by a 75-69 score over Wright State last night at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers will face either Furman or Wichita State in the second round. 

The Clemson baseball team defeated the College of Charleston at home yesterday by a score of 13-1. The Tigers will face the Cougars again in Columbia tonight with a 7pm first pitch. 

The South Carolina baseball team defeated Furman last night in Greenville by a score of 12-7
