South Carolina loses to Wichita State last night 70-47 in the Cancun Challenge to drop to 4-2 on the season.

It is Clemson – Carolina week, or Carolina – Clemson week, if that is your persuasion.

For Clemson coach Dabo Swinney, to win the Palmetto Bowl is a top priority and is a season unto itself.

“It’s literally a goal of its own and something we look forward to every single year,” says Coach Swinney. “It’s the next goal for us and we are excited, again, about the week.”

South Carolina Coach Will Muschamp was asked how it felt to be the rival coach during the greatest era of Clemson football, to which the coach said that he can only worry about his football team.

“You know, I worry and spend a lot of time on South Carolina, Gene. And at the end of the day I can’t control– And I always talk to our players about control the things you can control,” says Coach Muschamp. “And as far as recruiting, as far as developing players on campus, coaching, those things I can control here. And I can’t control the other. Obviously, we need to do a better job as coaches and players in this game than we have in the previous three. And find a way to win the game.”
