Sports Update For Wednesday, October 16th, 2019; Clemson Travels To Louisville in Atlantic Division game in the acc this weekend

(Seneca, SC)——#3 Clemson will hit the road in the ACC this weekend at Louisville to take on the Cardinals in a Noon eastern time game that will be broadcast on ABC.

The Tigers defeated the Cardinals last year in Death Valley 77-16, however, Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney says that Louisville has done a 180 degree turnaround since Clemson faced them last November.

“They’ve (Louisville) won four of the last five games so it’s a team that has got a lot of confidence,” says Clemson Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney. “They just went on the road and beat an undefeated Wake Forest at their place. “

“It’s just incredibly obvious to watch the difference in where they are right now and what I saw last year in getting ready for Louisville,” continues Coach Swinney. “It’s polar opposite and there is a lot of the same guys. They’ve just got them playing with incredible belief, their effort is tremendous, they have an excellent scheme on both sides.”

Other games in the ACC this weekend will include Pittsburgh at Syracuse on Friday night and then North Carolina State at Boston College, Georgia Tech at Miami, North Carolina at Virginia Tech, Duke at Virginia and Florida State at Wake Forest on Saturday.

The Seneca Bobcats will look to go 3-0 in Region 1-AAA Friday night as they host Powdersville at Bobcat Stadium at Tom Bass Field in a game you can hear right here on 94.1 The Lake.

Powdersville has been hit with injuries at key positions so far this season, which has caused them to have an off year for the traditionally strong program. However, Seneca Football Coach David Crane says that the Bobcats are expecting the best from the Patriots Friday night.

“They are a game behind us, I mean we are 2-0, they are 1-1. All of the other stuff before that is really irrelevant at this point,” says Coach Crane.

“They have been hit with some injuries but those kids who are now in those roles are getting more and more experienced and getting more and more practice time so they are more used their coaches are asking them to do,” says Coach Crane. “We’ll see the best version of Powdersville.”
