Spotlight Oconee sets new standard for Chamber

The Oconee County Chamber’s 109 annual meeting and business awards dinner Friday night was fabulous, says executive director Jillian Lusk. “Spotlight Oconee was fabulous on Friday; really it was an event that I think took all of our Chamber events to another level. We had some amazing award winners. Our Business Innovator was Technology Solutions, Clemson Area Transit won our Green Business Award, Ginger Hopkins from the School District won our Education Award, Cynthia Swafford from Community First Bank received the Community Service Award, Matt Smith of Wells Fargo received our Rising Star Award, Borg Warner received our Best Place to Work Award and Carolina Home Real Estate received our Small Business of the Year Award. In addition to that, we gave the Hall of Fame Award to past superintendent Dr. Mike Lucas. But one of the things I was most proud of was when you walked into the Gignilliat Center you would not have recognized it because of the vendors that came out to show their support to the Chamber. Jason Criscillis and Sierra Simmons with 313 Café, Jason Palmer and Patricia Gonzalez with Del Oeste Branding, Pieper Meredith for Videography and Roger Chapman with the Floral Shop in Pendleton.” The seven award recipients went home with trophies detailing their accomplishments.
