Spring ATAX Applications Being Accepted by Oconee PRT
The Oconee County Parks, Recreation & Tourism (PRT) Commission announces that Accommodations Tax (ATAX) grant applications will be accepted until Thursday, February 15, 2022, by 3pm. ATAX Application guides may be requested through the PRT office at 888-1488 and are available online at www.oconeesc.com.
All applications must be received by the PRT office at South Cove County Park by 3pm Thursday, February 15, 2022! All grant applications are to be reviewed by the PRT Commission on February 24, 2022, voted on March 3, 2022, and presented to County Council on March 15, 2022. All grant applicants are invited to any of the PRT Commission meetings to answer any questions regarding their grant requests.
Eligible projects for ATAX grant consideration are:
- Tourism advertising and Promotion
- Promotion of Arts and Cultural events for the attraction of tourist
- Facilities for Civic and Cultural events, and
- Visitor Centers.
Grants will be prioritized and awarded based on the tourism impact of the request.
