Spring Commencement Exercises Taking Place Today And Tomorrow At Clemson University

(Seneca, SC)———Spring Commencement Ceremonies will be taking place at Clemson University, and more specifically, Littlejohn Coliseum, today and tomorrow as more than 3,000 degrees will be handed out.

Today, graduates from the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences as well as the college of Business and the college of Education will receive degrees. Tomorrow, the college of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences, the college of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences, the college of Architecture, Arts and Humanities and the college of Science will receive their degrees.

If you plan to attend the graduation ceremonies, there are some things to remember in regards to parking and the clear bag policy that will be in effect. Mandy Hays, Assistant Vice-President for Campus Life at Clemson University, says that free parking will be available all around Littlejohn Coliseum. If you will be attending the afternoon ceremonies, Mandy says to give yourself some extra time in order to park and come into the building as there will be some overlap between those leaving from the morning graduation ceremonies and those coming in for the second ceremony in the afternoon.

Mandy says that the clear bag policy is in effect for all events at Littlejohn Coliseum, including graduation. While there may be an exception for bags like diaper bags, for example, Mandy says that generally speaking, only clear bags will be allowed. Once inside, seating is not reserved.

Mandy also recommends that those attending the graduation ceremonies plan accordingly and give themselves plenty of extra time due to the fact that everyone will be screened coming through the doors of Littlejohn Coliseum, as well as the time it takes walking from the parking areas to the building. Traffic will be busy at various times in and around campus with around 3,400 students participating in the graduation ceremonies and their families and guests attending the ceremonies as well, according to Hall.

If you are unable to attend the Spring Commencement Exercises, you can watch them streamed live online at tv.clemson.edu/.
