Stabbing Near Little General Food Store in Anderson

On Saturday afternoon, a man was found injured following a reported stabbing incident near the Little General store on South Murray Avenue, according to Chief Jim Stewart of the Anderson City Police.

Upon arrival at the scene around 12:05 p.m., officers discovered the man on the ground with a stab wound to his right chest. Emergency aid was immediately rendered until the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived and transported him to the hospital. However, the victim remained unresponsive and refused to answer any questions about the incident while on the scene.

The store clerk informed the authorities that the victim had rushed into the store, asking to use the phone to call 911. He stated that he had been stabbed in a wooded area located behind the store.

As of now, no additional information is available regarding the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
