Stephens County, GA Schools Superintendent In Quarantine

The superintendent of Stephens County, Georgia public schools has entered quarantine for 14 days after exposure to COVID-19. Our sister station in Toccoa, WNEG, reported that Dr. Daniel Oldham made the announcement Thursday morning via email.

Oldham explained that one of his family members has tested positive for the virus. As for his decision to go public, Oldham said, “During this time, it is important to lead by example with full transparency and consistency in how these scenarios are handled.”

While home, Oldham will work remotely and be accessible by phone and email.
