Stolen Trailer Located, Suspect Arrested

32 year old Kenneth Allen Barkley of Fairfield Drive was arrested Monday morning by Oconee County Deputies in connection with an investigation into the theft of a utility trailer from GreenLeaf Self Storage on Shiloh Road near Seneca. Barkley is charged with two counts of Receiving Stolen Goods, as well as one count each of Driving under Suspension, Driving an Uninsured Vehicle and a Habitual Traffic Offender. Barkley was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on Tuesday on a personal recognizance bond of over $8,000.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in regards to a stolen utility trailer, and with identifying a vehicle and the driver in relation to the case. A deputy responded during the late morning hours of June 5th to Greenleaf Self Storage on Shiloh Road near Seneca. According to evidence that was gathered during the investigation, an unknown white male subject drove behind the storage units around 7:20 am and was seen hooking the trailer up to a black ’90’s model Honda Passport that had dark, tinted windows. The tag that was located on the Passport was reported stolen out of Pickens County. The trailer was later located on South Walnut Street near Seneca.
