Strategic Plan for Oconee County Off Season Tourism

Ken Sloan asserts that Oconee County’s popularity during the summer months eliminates the need for tourism marketing.

However, attracting visitors during the off-season presents a challenge. To address this, Sloan, from Visit Oconee, and Phil Shirley, from Oconee PRT, have announced the completion of a strategic plan.

This plan, crafted by professionals, will be unveiled at a breakfast meeting on April 5. One key strategy involves showcasing the county to travel writers, with the aim of highlighting Oconee’s appeal during the less popular months.

In fact, a travel writer is reportedly scheduled to visit Oconee County next week.
