Strickland Museum preparing for New Exhibit

Activity abounds at the Bertha Lee Strickland Cultural Museum in Seneca as the staff prepares for their new exhibit this fall. Seneca City Museums curator and director Dr. John Martin gives details. “They have just closed their most recent exhibit, The Waymakers, which was terrific and had a lot of thought to it. They are getting ready for one in the fall hopefully around Labor Day, which is going to be a knockout. My accolades to Shelby Henderson and Nick McKinney, you have put spirit and ability to take the design and work it. It is going to be terrific. It has been a great team this year so far and it will continue. But I am excited about the exhibit and we are getting national acclaim.” The staff hopes that the new exhibit, entitled Churchfolk, will engage and challenge the senses of visitors.
