Superintendent praises SHS Principal for encouraging Community

At a surprise ceremony on Thursday, Seneca High School Principal Cliff Roberts was named the South Carolina High School Principal of the Year. Oconee County Schools Superintendent Dr. Michael Thorsland praised Roberts for his educational leadership in the community. “Over the last couple of years, we’ve really seen the whole Seneca area, from its elementary schools, the middle school and the high school, really come together. Their test scores are going up and they are just speaking with the same voice. We really see that Cliff Roberts has been one of the main leaders in that effort and we are happy to see him be rewarded for his hard work.” As the South Carolina Secondary Principal of the Year, Roberts automatically enters competition for the national honor.
