Swearing In Ceremony for Kenny Johns Today in Walhalla

Kenny Johns, the councilman-elect for Walhalla, is officially becoming a city councilman today. Judge Roberta Barton is scheduled to administer the oath at noon, allowing him to serve the remaining two years of Tyler Jordan’s unexpired council term. Johns recently won a special election as part of the city’s regular election. Sarai Melendez was re-elected, allowing her to continue in office for another four years. However, newcomers Josh Holliday and Josh Thomas, who also won, will have to wait until January to start their four-year council terms.
