According to arrest records from the Oconee County Detention Center, Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol arrested 54 year-old Judy Ann Lusk on Sunday and charged her with DUI and four counts of assaulting an officer while resisting arrest. She remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center with a bond set at more than $80,000.

Here’s the New Year’s Day week schedule for the operation of Oconee’s manned convenience (recycling) centers, as provided by the county solid waste department: The convenience centers will be open from 7 am to 7 pm Thursday, December 31 and close for New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1. The convenience centers are routinely closed Wednesdays.

Administration of the coronavirus vaccine began last week in Seneca. Prisma Health Oconee gave the first dose of the vaccine to a nurse who works in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit last Wednesday. The vaccine is scheduled to be made available to the general public in the coming months.
