Teheran pitches Braves to victory

An extra day of rest seemed to benefit Atlanta’s Julio Teheran.  The Braves rookie showed the poise that could prove beneficial when the playoffs arrive in October. Teheran rebounded from a rocky first inning as the Braves took another step toward clinching the National League East with Tuesday night’s 4-3 win over the Miami Marlins. With wins in the first two games of this four-game series, the Braves have distanced themselves from the four-game losing streak they brought to Miami and moved closer to popping champagne. Their magic number to clinch the division is seven. The Atlanta Braves are now 87-57 on the season.  Catch all the exciting action of Atlanta Braves baseball here on WSNW.
