Thanks for the Donations

A special thank you is being extended to the community for donating to the City of Seneca’s collection drive for flood victims of South Carolina. Seneca Mayor Pro-tem Ronnie O’Kelley is very grateful for the community’s generosity. “We got a call Monday morning last week from the D.O.T. and they wanted to know if there was anywhere they could bring bottled water to get it to the coast after the bad floods. That is when I spoke with the mayor and Riley Johnson made it happen. He got very busy, Lt. Brian Sheriff brought the trucks over, and we got the word out to the community. Man, the community just overflowing with support, they brought bottle water and people in the Low Country were requesting other items and people just started bring that it too. It is just a wonderful community that we live in and in time of need, they always come through. The people of Seneca are just very helpful when we need them.” The City of Seneca sent four trucks filled with bottled water and other donations to shelters just outside the Columbia area.
