The South Carolina Highway Patrol Investigating Fatal Accident in Anderson County

(Seneca, SC)———————The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a three vehicle fatal collision that occurred yesterday afternoon around 4:30 pm in Anderson County on Highway 24 near Wham Road which is just west of the city of Anderson. According to Lance Corporal Gary Miller, the driver of a 2004 Ford Taurus traveling east on Highway 24 went left of center and struck a 2011 Mack Truck pulling a trailer head-on. The Mack Truck then went left of center and struck a bridge guardrail and spilled part of its load. The third vehicle involved, a 2013 Honda, was struck by some of the debris. 

The driver of the Ford Taurus died while a passenger in the same vehicle was flown to the hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver of the Mack Truck was also transported by ground to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Honda was not injured
