Thursday Accident in Seneca Hindered Noon Hour Traffic

During lunchtime traffic on Thursday, an accident occurred on the 123 Seneca Bypass, causing a section of the highway to be blocked for 10 to 15 minutes until both vehicles were removed.

The collision involved a 2020 Genesis sedan driven by a 61-year-old woman from Seneca and a 2020 Chevy pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old woman from Commerce, Georgia. No injuries were reported. According to Capt. B.J. McClure, the sedan slowed down in traffic after crossing the railroad spur line track at Miracle Circle at around 12:50 pm. Both the sedan and the pickup truck encountered a backup at 123 and the Frontage Road.
