Tigers snack on Eagles

The Clemson defense had a big day Saturday against the Boston College Eagles leading the No. 3 Tigers to a 24-14 victory in Memorial Stadium. The Tiger defense had five sacks and scored the game-clinching touchdown.  Vic Beasley scooped up a fumble and returned it 13 yards for the score. Beasley was named the game’s MVP after recording five tackles, two for loss, a sack and a touchdown. He became the first defensive player to win the Leather Helmet Award. The victory sets up an Atlantic Division showdown on Saturday night between the Tigers and sixth-ranked Florida State in what is shaping up to be the first ACC game between top-10 teams that has ever been played at Death Valley.
