Tornado Confirmed in Seneca

A tornado was confirmed in Seneca early this morning, demolishing trees and anything else in it’s path. Initial reports indicate an unconfirmed fatality. Power is out in much of the area served by Seneca Light and Water and Blue Ridge Electric. No word on exactly what time power will be restored. Crews are working diligently to remove trees, power lines and debris from roadways. Injuries have been reported with this event. More as it becomes available.
