Town of Salem Will Hold 9/11 Memorial Observance

The Town of Salem will present a program to honor and “NEVER FORGET” the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001.

The program will be held on Main Street in Salem and will begin with the National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, at 8:45 am.

There will be a presentation of the Sheriff’s Office’s Color Guard and the Oconee County Fire Department’s Honor Guard by Salem Police Chief Brian Lusk.

Mayor Lynn Towe will welcome everyone followed by a Tribute by Fire Chief Brandon Shirley. Everyone is invited to attend.

Social distancing will be in place and those in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering due to COVID-19.
