Transit Public Hearing Tuesday in Seneca

The City of Seneca is submitting a grant application to the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), Division of Mass Transit, for continued provision of transit service in Seneca and surrounding Oconee County.

Transportation service is provided through contract with Clemson Area Transit. Federal and state funds are to be allocated by SCDOT through the Rural Transportation Formula Program in FY 2022-2023 for this service.

All interested parties, especially private transportation providers, are encouraged to request a public hearing or comment in writing regarding provision of public transit in the Seneca area.

A public hearing will be held at Seneca City Hall Council Chambers on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 12:00 pm to discuss the grant application. Written comments should be submitted to Seneca Planning Department, PO Box 4773, Seneca, SC 29679. Written comments must be submitted by May 12, 2022 to be considered for submittal to SCDOT.
