Turner called to take over as SHS Head Football Coach

Seneca High School’s new head football coach is excited about taking over the program. “We’re excited and honored to be in this position as a family. We are just so thankful that God has brought us to this point in our season in our lives.” Seneca High School Head Football Coach Brett Turner takes over the reigns of the program after serving last year as defensive coordinator. “I was at Pickens High for about 16 years and part of that time I was the head football coach there. Folks there were very good to us as a family. Then I was called into the ministry in 2008 and stepped down and was offered a job at Seneca High as I went through seminary. I was here as an assistant coach and assistant athletic director and it was good time for us. Through that time, I had another stint at Pickens High trying to get our family back together in one location and it shows you how God orchestrates things, he called me back to the church that I am at as associate pastor. So, we are back in Seneca we know we are supposed to be here and we are happy to be here. Now God has given us another opportunity to minister to young people, to the community and for our family we are very grateful for that.” Coach Turner plans to continue in his role as associate pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Seneca this upcoming football season.
