Turnipseed Joins Clemson Football Staff

Thad Turnipseed has joined the Clemson Football office as Director of Recruiting and External Affairs. Head Coach Dabo Swinney made the announcement on Thursday. Turnipseed will work closely with Swinney, Jeff Scott, and his staff in terms of the organization of all recruiting activities. Turnipseed comes to Clemson after spending the last 11 years at the University of Alabama where he started as Director of Capital Projects, designing and overseeing over $200 million in athletic projects. He ended his career as the Associate Athletic Director for Special Projects while serving as Nick Saban’s Director of Football External Affairs. Turnipseed and Swinney were both members of Alabama’s 1992 National Championship team and were on the same coaching staff between 1993-95.
