Two Brothers Perish in Mobile Home Fire

From Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis:

A mobile home fire near Westminster on Thursday afternoon has claimed the lives of two brothers, Heath Trey Daniel Morse Age: 4, and Jacob Edward Todd Morse Age: 5

The fire occurred at 241 Misty Hollow Lane near Westminster; the fire was reported to Oconee 911 Communications at 12:46 pm.

The fire remains under investigation by the Oconee County Fire – Emergency Services, Oconee County Sheriff’s Department, SLED Fire Investigators and the SC Fire Marshal’s Office.

The cause of death has been identified as smoke inhalation due to the home fire. Coroner Addis has classified the untimely deaths of Heath and Jacob Morse as accidental.
