Two Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in SDOC

The School District of Oconee County has confirmed two positive cases of COVID-19 in this first week of school – one student at Seneca High School and an employee at James Brown Elementary both tested positive, officials said.

A previous case reported at Walhalla High was removed because that person did not enter the school building or any SDOC facility.

The information provided by the district includes any SDOC student or employee who has been in a district facility. It does not include SDOC@Home students or employees working remotely. Results are reported on the date the district is made aware of a positive test result, and it does not necessarily mean that others have been exposed.
