Two Events from Oconee Soil and Water Conservation District

The Oconee Soil and Water Conservation District announces two upcoming events in the tri-county area of Upstate South Carolina. On Oct. 29, the District hosts Solid Green Day, an event that will allow residents to order rain barrels and compost bins at cost from The Storm Water Partners. The event takes place from 2-6pm at the Clemson Botanical Gardens. These are pre order only so if you wish to take advantage of this opportunity you should go to the website www.rainbarrelprogram.org/stormwaterpartners. The order deadline is Oct. 23. Come to the Clemson Botanical Garden for pickup. In addition, the Oconee Soil and Water Conservation District Celebration of Agriculture Banquet is set for Nov. 13 at 6:30pm in the South Union Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The meal will be catered by Manna From Heaven and feature roast beef and fried chicken, sides, dessert and tea. The cost is $10 per person and celebrates the hard working farming community in Oconee County.
