Two Injured, Suspect Dead After Shooting Incident At Anderson Business Tuesday Night

Two people were critically injured Tuesday night in Anderson County and the suspected shooter is dead, authorities said.

It happened just after 10:30pm at the FRÄNKISCHE plant on AM Ellison Road, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. There were around 30 employees present at the time of the shooting, and Sheriff’s Investigators said they ran across the street to the Typsy Tavern Bar & Grill to take shelter during the incident.

Both victims are believed to be employees of FRÄNKISCHE, while the shooter was thought to have been a former employee, the sheriff’s office said. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said the suspected shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators said the employees were taken to a nearby church to be medically checked and interviewed.

51-year old Anderson resident Bruce D. Vandermosten Jr. was identified by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office as the suspected shooter who took his own life.
