Two Men Charged by Seneca Police with Burglary and Drug Offenses

Seneca Police have charged two men in connection with a burglary incident reported on the night of Thursday, July 1st. Police said that at least two people were inside a Laing Court apartment where the front door was kicked in.

19 year-old Ezekiel James Cheeks and 33 year-old Zachary James Johnson, both of Seneca, were charged with First Degree Burglary, Malicious Injury to Property and Distribution of Meth. Johnson was additionally charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Both men are being held at the Oconee County Detention Center, with bond set for Cheeks at $67,000, and for Johnson at $67,615 due to the added misdemeanor marijuana charge.
