Two Men Found Dead Early Monday Near Walhalla

Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said that autopsies are planned to help determine the cause of death of two individuals who were found early Monday. Addis said the victims were two men from West Union, one aged 45, the other aged 65.

Around 7:45am Monday, EMS responded to a location on Pine Hollow Lane near Old Station Road in the Wolfstake Community just north of Walhalla. The 45 year-old man was found on the found, while the body of the 65 year-old was located in the passenger seat of a parked pickup truck.

Addis went on to say that there appeared to be no signs of violence associated with the deaths, and that drugs and the cold temperatures may have factored into the men’s deaths. Their identities have not yet been released.
