Undercover Operations lead to Arrests

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office made some arrests last Thursday evening during undercover operations with assistance from the Seneca Police Department.  Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt gives details.  “According to incident reports, 28-year-old Lynn Renee Gibson of Greensboro, North Carolina, was arrested on September 5th on charges of solicitation of prostitution.  She was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 11:59pm that evening.  She is currently being held on a $2,500 surety bond at the Detention Center.  In addition, that same evening, deputies arrested 32-year-old Travis Alonzo Donald of Central on a variety of charges.  According to investigators, officers from the Sheriff’s Office and the Seneca Police Department noticed a black in color Nissan that pulled into the Days Inn in Seneca on Radio Station Road, whereupon officers noticed some suspicious activity.  The vehicle then pulled onto Bi-Lo Place Drive and officers ran the tag on the vehicle, which came back stolen.   Officers conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Advance Auto, in which the driver told officers that he had lost his wallet and that his name was Chris Donald. The driver gave consent for the car to be searched, upon which officers found a bag of ice in the center console.  As the investigation continued, officers learned that the name of the driver was Travis Donald of Central.  He did admit to give false information because his driver’s license was suspended and that he had no insurance.  He was transported to the Oconee County Detention Center on charges of possession of less than one gram of ice, giving false information to a law enforcement officer, driving under suspension, no insurance, and possession of a stolen tag.  He was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 7:44pm last Thursday evening.  He is currently being held on a $5,000 surety bond at the Detention Center, along with holds from Clemson and Central Police Department’s, as well as the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.” The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into the case.
