United Way of OC asking residents to take Survey

Seven United Ways in the Upstate of South Carolina, including the United Way of Oconee County, are launching a new effort to help maximize the early learning potential of young children. Born Learning Upstate SC is a public engagement campaign that aims to help parents, caregivers and communities provide young children with quality learning opportunities. The campaign is built around research that shows children are “born learning”. The United Way of Oconee County has installed two Born Learning Trails, Anderson Park in Westminster and Sertoma Field in Walhalla, and will have a third trail dedication on April 10 at Shaver Field in Seneca. There have also been classes and workshops taught in the elementary schools of Oconee County.  The local United Way is asking residents to take a simple survey concerning Born Learning.  Assistance and feedback is greatly needed to know where improvements are needed to continue growing this program.  The survey is available online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/UWBornlearning.
