United Way presents Seneca with Unwavering Contributions Award

The United Way of Oconee County recently presented an award recognizing significant donations over the years to the City of Seneca. Donna Bradley, who coordinates the annual campaign on behalf of the city, accepted the Unwavering Contributions to the United Way Award. Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander thanked Bradley and Lt. Lisa Williams who serves on the United Way Board as well as all city employees for their contributions to the non-profit service organization. “That is an honor, it says a lot about our city employees and what they do and how they want to give back. I think about Donna and Lisa, an amazing two ladies that do so much in our community by reaching out in so many different ways. We are just very fortunate to have them working for the City of Seneca but more is what they do in this community by touching people’s lives and making a huge difference.” This year’s campaign raised approximately $15,000 for the United Way and its agencies. City employees made commitments through one-time gifts to ongoing payroll deductions. The City of Seneca is the only City in Oconee County that has an annual campaign. Lt. Lisa Williams of the Seneca Police Department also received the 2015 Volunteer Excellence in Promoting Healthy Relationships Award and the 2014 Community Impact Team Award.
